Vinyl Records Are Coming Back!!!

I just watched the CBS Evening news and they did a report about Vinyl Records. They showed someone who has an extensive record collection and he goes to stores that sell used records. Then they showed some recording artists starting to release their music on the traditional 12" vinyl. On the downside of this, they will cost about $20.00

I just went to CBS.com and there was a story on How Vinyl Got It's Groove Back

Al Martino - Swing Along With - FOX 3032 (1960)

"Swing Along With Al Martino" 20th Century FOX Records - FOX 3032 Released in 1960. I apologize that I haven't been posting much lately but will try to post again ASAP.
This album played fine but had some light pips and pops that I did my best to remove without degrading the music. I don't have professional equipment, but do my best with the software programs I have.
To the best of my knowledge, this album was Al's second record from what I've been able to find on the internet. If I am mistaken, please feel free to add a comment and I will correct what isn't accurate.
EDITED 12/8/2009. The link had expired so I re-uploaded the file. Enjoy.

Track listing is as follows:
Side One
01 Baby Won't You Please Come Home
02 All Of Me
03 It Had To Be You

Hope to be posting again soon

Sorry I haven't posted anything recently. Have a lot going on right now, and just haven't had the time to post. It is a lengthy process. I have to transfer the songs to my computer, try to clean them up if they are scratchy and also remove the 60Hz hum. Then I have to scan the album jacket in 4 separate passes and then stitch them together to form the full image.

Hopefully this coming week I will post here and on my Christmas Record Blog

Sing Along With The Grasshoppers Featuring Eddie Maynard Stereo Version

Sing Along With The Grasshoppers Featuring Eddie Maynard Stereo Version Pirouette Records FM-56 released in 1959. This is the stereo version of the same album in my previous post. The songs are in a slightly different order than the Mono album and the artwork is slightly different.

On Top Of Old Smokey
Little Tin Soldier And Little Toy Drum
Glow Worm
Big Rock Candy Mountain
Side Two

Sing Along With The Grasshoppers Featuring Eddie Maynard MONO Version

Sing Along With The Grasshoppers Featuring Eddie Maynard Spin-O-Rama Records MK 3074. This record is probably the first full album I received as a toddler. I Can't find a year anywhere on the album or jacket. I've tried looking on the internet and there are a few references that it was in the early 1960's.
I also have a Stereo version of this album on The Pirouette Record Label and there is a date etched in the vinyl of 10-26-59. The artwork on both jackets is basically the same other than on the Pirouette album in the trees it says Stereophonic and the lower left hand corner shows True Sound Pirouette instead of Long Play 33 1/3 RPM Spin-O-Rama.
This record brings back fond memories of my childhood listening to this record several times a day. I've done my best to filter out any pips or pops and is sounds pretty good. I will also post the Stereo album shortly after I finish this post.
This record was a rip-off of the David Seville and The Chipmunks and there are songs that The Chipmunks have done on this album. I don't recall hearing The Chipmunks before I was about 4 years old, but can remember them from a few years later. I do realize the they have been around since the late 1950's
My favorite song on this album is Big Rock Candy Mountain.
